RE: King of the Road Fifth Wheel
I have a King of the Road and have had very little trouble with it and parts are still available for it when I have needed them. Check with the King of the Road camper club for any info or help you might need (nice folks).
RE: Thinking of putting tool box in my F450
I have one in my F550 and the bed is only 12 inches deep and it works well. Its only 3 1/2 inches above the bed and lots of clearance. Or you can get one that sets on the floor and doesn't stick up above the bed. Check at a farm supply store they have a large selection of them.
RE: Have you ever
Half bottle of Captain Morgan one night. The next night another half bottle that had been doctored up X rated. Third night it sat on the table outside all night. Guess they had enough..
1983 Elkhart Traveler 40 Footer
Sold my old buddy (Elk Dog) yestarday and it is like loosing an old friend. Had it for 12 years and used it as a seasonal unit on a large lake. It will still be setting next to us so don't know how that will go. Just got to be too much work with 2 campers to take care of. Was a 40 footer with one slide (one of the first with a hydrolic slide) Everything still works to include a 2ft square dial combination safe under the floor in a closet.
RE: Parking Lot Follies
Just this last week we pulled into a parking lot with a 38 foot 5th wheel and a F550 with a big sign that said RV's welcome at the entrance then discovered they had closed the exit. The manager said I guess we need to remove the sign now. Took a few trys but made it out. Manager did buy us lunch.
RE: Watch the height restrictions
Looks like he had a good hitch. Still coupled up to the truck.
did that to an Army 5 ton one time it is quite a suprise to say the least.
Front Jack Problem
Front jacks will not work off of batterys but will work when pluged into shore power. Batterys are new and have a full charge. Checked fuses and all seem ok. Any ideas?
RE: Anyone experience rock through radiator?
No trouble with rocks but a large owl dead center in grill done a job on the radiator. Put on a large grill guard then collected a wild turkey but the guard saved the day.
RE: Tying the knot at a Campground
Our son got married 2 summers ago at a campground on a large lake and it was real nice. Used a Hawaii theme , requested all attending to wear Hawaii shirts and flip flops. Big party with roasted whole hog and all the trimmings after. The posabilites are without limits.
RE: King of the Road
I have a 38ft King of the Road and have been in contact with the factory a couple of times in the last three months have been told by them that tech support and repair service will be in place for at least 2 years. The company is still in business they just don't build rv's any more.
